#HuntFishTravel 052 – Deer Stewards, Buck Poles and Late Season Food Plots

This week on the Wild World of CarrieZ Hunting, Fishing and Outdoor Podcast Carrie Zylka chats with Matt Ross; Certification Programs Manager for the Quality Deer Management Association about the two different deer steward courses and why everyone should consider taking one.

They talk about the Deer Steward Course Level 1 she attended in May 2013 in Iowa, the field trip part of the course where they visited the Lakosky Farm and many of the tips  learned about deer habitat and management.  During the walking tour of the farm Lee Lakosky demonstrated his “Buck Pole”.

Carrie then moves on to an interview with one of her staff writers Josh Howell aka The Frozen Archer and his 13 year old son Devan.

Devan and Josh walk Carrie through Devan’s very first bow kill, a beautiful Minnesota doe.
