For the first time in several years, I’m not at SHOT Show, and if you know me, you know that’s not easy. SHOT is where the industry energy is, where the big announcements drop, and where you get those hallway conversations that turn into real friendships.

My 2025 pose.
My 2025 pose.

But even though I’m not walking the floor this week, I still wanted to bring you something big.

Yesterday at SHOT Show, SPYPOINT officially unveiled their newest trail camera, the FLEX-RANGE, and I’m genuinely excited about this one. SPYPOINT isn’t just a sponsor of the podcast. They’ve become friends. They’re a company I actually enjoy working with, and more importantly, a brand that keeps pushing the envelope instead of just rebranding last year’s tech.

The FLEX-RANGE is a big step forward for remote scouting, especially for those of us running cameras in places where cell signal has always been hit or miss. This camera introduces satellite backup on top of cellular, which is a game changer for anyone hunting or scouting truly remote ground.

I wish I was there in person to see it unveiled, shake hands, and geek out over it on the show floor. But since I can’t be, I wanted to make sure you still heard about it here first, straight from me, because this is the kind of innovation that actually matters in the field.

So with that, here’s what you need to know:

SPYPOINT, a global leader in trail camera technology since 2004, is proud to announce the FLEX-RANGE cellular trail camera, a rugged new scouting tool that redefines the limits of connectivity in remote territory. The FLEX-RANGE introduces satellite backup coverage that lets hunters maintain communication between the camera and the SPYPOINT app, even when cellular coverage is weak or unavailable.

The introduction of the FLEX-RANGE coincides with the beginning of a new era for SPYPOINT, as the brand unveils a bold new look alongside one of its most comprehensive and innovative trail camera line-ups yet.

“The FLEX-RANGE represents the next step in remote scouting technology,” said Jimmy Angers, President and CEO of SPYPOINT. “It delivers the cellular performance hunters expect from SPYPOINT, with a satellite backup option that expands where and how trail cameras can work.”

As a cellular trail camera, the FLEX-RANGE uses dual-SIM technology to automatically connect to all major carriers and the strongest cellular signal in the area. Users can utilize the satellite backup feature through SPYPOINT’s transmission plan options and app settings.

The FLEX-RANGE is easy to set up and manage through the free SPYPOINT app. It features many customizable options including no-glow flash settings (to avoid spooking wildlife) and low-glow flash settings (for top quality night-time captures).

Built for harsh conditions, the FLEX-RANGE features a reinforced shell, a durable antenna, and an improved latch to keep it working season after season. Like every SPYPOINT camera, the FLEX-RANGE is backed by SPYPOINT’s two-year “Know You’re Covered” warranty for added peace of mind.

The SPYPOINT FLEX-RANGE will premiere in North America at www.spypoint.com and at participating retailers later in 2026.
