Arizona – Leftover Permit-Tags Remain for 2024 Fall Hunts

Arizona - Leftover Permit-Tags Remain for 2024 Fall Hunts

Arizona hunters who were unsuccessful in the recent 2024 fall draw still have an opportunity to receive a hunt permit-tag for deer or javelina.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) has posted a list of leftover hunt permit-tags, as well as a printable paper application on its website. Paper applications also can be found at license dealers statewide (call in advance for availability).

Leftover hunt permit-tags include:

  • 80 — antlered white-tailed deer (muzzleloader).
  • 16 — youth-only javelina (general).
  • 5 — youth-only any antlered deer (muzzleloader).

For information about available military hunts (for those who qualify) at Camp Navajo, visit https://dema.az.gov/arizona-national-guard/training-area-ranges/camp-navajo/camp-navajo-hunting-information.

AZGFD will accept paper applications for leftover hunt permit-tags — by mail only — beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, July 8. All completed paper applications must be addressed to: Arizona Game and Fish Department, Attn.: Draw/First Come, 5000 W. Carefree Highway, Phoenix, AZ 85086.

There is no “mini” draw. Successful applicants will see the issued hunt permit-tag information in their AZGFD portal account. Allow 10 to 15 business days to receive a hunt permit-tag by mail.

For more information, including license and hunt permit-tag requirements, refer to the “2024-2025 Arizona Hunting Regulations,” or call 602-942-3000.
